PSP: Davee’s Infinity Project will be released this Weekend!

Developer Davee, famous for his 5.03 ChickHEN and the 6.xx Downgraders, has a new status update regarding his Infinity project.

For those of you that doesn’t know what Infinity is, it is pretty much a 6.61 permanent patch for the 6.61 ME CFW & PRO CFW… Well, kind of.

Let me explain to you what Infinity actually is.

Davee’s Project Infinity:

infinity_pic1

While we told you that Davee’s Infinity is going to enable you to auto-boot into a 6.61 CFW, similar to the current 6.20 permanent patch, we did not tell you exactly how this is achieved.

The outcome is the same, you will end up with a PSP that can boot into a 6.61 CFW by its own, like the 6.20 permanent patch auto-boots into a 6.20 CFW by itself, but strictly speaking, Infinity is not a permanent patch per se.

Let us go back into the past of Dark~AleX’ PSP 1000 OE CFWs, and take a look at something that is called a Hybrid Firmware.

Dark~AleX’ Hybrid Firmwares – SE, OE & early M33 CFWs:

PSP

Back in the days the famous Developer Dark~AleX was the best (and pretty much only) source for Custom Firmwares, and he provided us with his SE, OE & M33 Custom Firmwares.

Before the PSP 2000 was a thing, all Custom Firmwares were based on the PSP Firmware 1.50. This means that the PSP 1000 was running a Firmware 1.50, which had a secondary 2.71, 3.10 or 3.XX kernel (depending on the OE/M33 CFW that was installed).

The base firmware of the PSP was always 1.50, and the CFW pretty much just provided a secondary kernel that ran the newer Firmware (e.g. 2.71).

As of the PSP 2000’s release, and the birth of dual device Firmwares, Dark~AleX had to change his CFWs and they were based on the current firmwares.

An additional, PSP 1000-only 1.5 Kernel has been made available, which allows the playback of older 1.5 Kernel Homebrews, such as Resurssiklunssi, the RCO decryption homebrew.

The latest 1.5 Kernel Addon that Dark~AleX provided was for his 5.00 M33-6 Custom Firmware. Newer Custom Firmwares, such as our beloved 6.xx ME, LME & PRO CFWs, had to use the LEDA Plugin for 1.5 Kernel Homebrew support.

Hybrid Firmwares and additional Kernel addons haven’t been a thing since the old days, well, at least until now.

Davee’s new 6.31/6.61 Hybrid Firmware:

infinity_pic4

Dark~AleX is not the only one that can create a working Hybrid Firmware, at least as of now.

Developer Davee is exploiting a bug in the PSP Firmware 6.31, which enables it to load unoffical code while the device is booting.

This new bug is unfortunally fixed as of later firmwares, such as 6.60, but due to the possibility of a Hybrid Firmware, it is possible to exploit this 6.31 bug and still load the 6.61 firmware.

This means that Davee has made it possible to install a 6.31/6.61 Hybrid Firmware, which will essentially give you a 6.61 firmware, despite being based on the 6.31 kernel.

Long story short: Your PSP is pretty much running a 6.31 firmware kernel, that is running the 6.61 firmware. You can add a CFW to said 6.61 firmware and essentially have a 6.61 CFW.

In the end it is possible to automatically boot into the 6.61 CFW, which will look & feel the same as a permanent patch for said Custom Firmware.

Supported Custom Firmwares & Devices:

infinity_pic3

Davee’s Infinity does not really care what firmware you are currently running, because it is going to overwrite said firmware with its own 6.31/6.61 Hybrid firmware anyways.

It is still recommended to run the latest 6.xx ME, LME or PRO CFW before using Davee’s Infinity software.

In terms of devices, Infinity supports all PSP 1000s (01g), all 2000s (02g – including TA-088v3!), most PSP 3000s (03g, 04g & 09g) and all PSP GOs (05g).

The remaining devices would be the very rare PSP 3000 07g, and the PSP E1000, which does not natively support the firmware 6.31.

The former is not supported due to its rarity, and thus lack of testing, while the latter is not supported due to it having no native firmware 6.31 support.

Davee is going to provide a future update for Infinity, which will try to add PSP E1000 support, while the PSP 3000 07g should be supported as of now, but this is untested due to the devices rarity.

If you do happen to own a PSP 3000 07g, be sure to contact Wololo, Davee or me via Email, Twitter, etc. A 07g PSP 3000 is incredibly rare, and would be valueable for testing purposes.

Necessary Files and Infinity’s public Release Date:

infinity_pic2

As I said before, you pretty much just need a supported PSP device that is running one of the most recent 6.xx Custom Firmwares. We recommend 6.xx ME, LME or PRO (latest revisions!).

Otherwise you will need the 6.31 and 6.61 Firmware Updaters (either for the PSP X000s [PSPs with UMD drive] or the PSPgo), the 6.61 Custom Firmware installers for the LME or PRO CFW and of course Davee’s Infinity files.

About Infinity’s release, Davee mentioned that he is going to apply the finishing touches to Infinity and plans to release Infinity on saturday, 23:59:59 (UTC+0).

This leaves the Sunday for quick hotfixes, that Davee can easily add before the weekend is over.

Enjoy the video showcase as a little teaser, until you can get your hands on Infinity yourselves. Dont’t worry about those red screens, they will be removed in the public version.

We are going to keep you up to date about Infinity and will of course provide you with an Article of our own when Davee officially releases it.

Release: Davee releases Project Infinity – 6.61 Permanent Patch for ME & PRO CFWs

Just as mentioned a few days ago, Davee has finally released his Project Infinity.

Project Infinity will grant your PSP the ability to install a Hybrid Firmware, which in return will make it possible to install a permanent 6.61 LME or 6.61 PRO Custom Firmware.

Let’s get started!

Project Infinity:

infinity_pic1

Most of the information about Project Infinity were given in our last blogpost, and of course on Davee’s own blogpost over at Lolhax.org.

Nonetheless we would like to mention that Infinity is not a Custom Firmware by itself. It will install a Hybrid Firmware on your PSP, which can of course use a CFW.

The 6.31/6.61 Hybrid Firmware will exactly behave like the normal 6.61 OFW, with the exception that it can unbrick your PSP in some cases.

You read right, the Infinity Hybrid Firmware can unbrick any PSP (in most cases), as long as it had been installed prior to the device bricking.

Now let’s get prepared, because we have to take care of a few things, before we flash the Infinity Hybrid Firmware.

Necessary things & Files:

General Preparation:

PSP-E1000-Black

At first you have to own a PSP that is not a PSP E1000. Any other PSP, except for the E1000, is compatible with Project Infinity.

As long as your PSP does not look like the PSP above, you will be able to use the Infinity Hybrid Firmware (the incredibly rare 3000 07g should, in theory, be supported as well).

Otherwise it is recommended that your PSP is currently running any kind of modern 6.xx CFW. This would mean a ME, LME or PRO Custom Firmware for the versions 6.20, 6.35, 6.39, 6.60 or 6.61.

If you do happen to run a 6.xx on any other version, such as 6.31, 6.36, 6.37 or 6.38, we would suggest to update your CFW to a more recent version, because older Custom Firmwares could be a problem.

It is also recommended that your PSP has a rather full battery (>50%) and the charger should be plugged in, just to be sure that the PSP won’t power off.

Necessary Files:

You will have to download a few files, that are crucial to installing the Infinity Hybrid Firmware. It is also recommended to have at least 200MB of free space on your Memory Stick / Internal Storage.

Depending on your device, you will either have to download the firmwares 6.31 & 6.61 for most PSPs (PSP X000 updaters), or the firmwares 6.31 & 6.61 for the PSPgo (PSPgo updaters).

In the end you should have the 6.31 & 6.61 updaters that your PSP supports. All PSPs that have an UMD drive (1000, 2000, 3000, E1000) share one updater file, while the PSPgo has its very own updaters.

You will also need the 6.61 custom firmware files for the CFW of your choice: Either 6.61 LME-2.3 or 6.61 PRO-C2. You should not use the ME CFW or PRO’s cIPL flasher; stick to the LME CFW or PRO CFW without cIPL!

The last files you will need are all provided by Davee himself. You will need the Infinity firmware files and you might need the Chronoswitch Downgrader v7, if you decide to uninstall the Infinity Hybrid Firmware.

The reason to use the temporary variants of LME & PRO is, that the ME CFW (and PRO’s cIPL Flasher) comes pre-shipped with a cIPL and a cIPL only works on the PSP 1000 and 2000 (non-88v3). These old PSPs, the ones that support the Pandora battery, should stick to the ME CFW or a cIPL’d PRO CFW.

Infinity is superior to the 6.20 permanent patch, but Infinity is inferior to the cIPL Custom Firmwares. If possible, use a cIPL Custom Firmware, assuming your device supports it.

Infinity does of course work on the PSP 1000 & 2000 (including 88v3!) as well, but it is recommended to stick to cIPL; you only need Infinity on the newer “unhackable” PSPs.

You may install Infinity on your old “hackable” PSPs, but it won’t be the optimal choice, due to cIPL being superior.

Preparing the Files for our PSP:

PSP_XMB_GAME_CATEGORY

We do not want to brick our PSP, so we will have to copy the recently downloaded files to the correct location on our memory stick.

The Infinity Hybrid Firmware can only be successfully installed, if you copy the necessary files to the proper memory stick locations.

Davee’s files will give you 3 folders: Infinity Builder, Infinity Flasher and Bootloader.

All three folders have to be copied to the /PSP/GAME/ folder, so that our PSP will detect 3 new Homebrews.

You will also have to copy the 631.PBP and 6.61.PBP files from the updaters into the Infinity Maker folder. The Updater ZIPs may list the PBP-Files as EBOOT.PBP files, so simply rename them from EBOOT.PBP to 631.PBP (in the case of FW 6.31) or 661.PBP (in the case of FW 6.61).

Please do not use the wrong updater files. Only use the PSPgo Updaters on a PSPgo, and only use the general Updaters on a PSP XOOO (a PSP that has an UMD drive).

In the end the Infinity Builder folder should contain a 631.PBP, a 661.PBP and a plain EBOOT.PBP file. The Infinity Flasher and Bootloader folder will have a respective EBOOT.PBP of their own, you won’t have to touch (add/delete/modify) these folders at all.

As long as you don’t intend to uninstall the Infinity Hybrid firmware, you won’t need the Chronoswitch Downgrader v7, so feel free to ignore it for now.

Tutorial: How to properly install Infinity:

infinity_pic4

Assuming you have did everything right so far, we should now be able to properly install the Infinity Hybrid Firmware.

The first thing you will have to do is start the Firmware Builder. This will create a necessary file out of the 631 & 661 Updaters, which we will need prior to installing Infinity.

Depending on your PSP and its Memory Stick, this might take 2 to 5 minutes. On a PSPgo this is noticeably faster, due to the smaller Updater files and the PSPgo’s blazing fast Internal Storage.

When the Firmware Builder is finished, we connect our PSP to our PC once again. We will have to move the newly created DATA.MFC file.

We grab the DATA.MFC file, that is currently inside of the /PSP/GAME/MAKER/ folder, and will move it into the /PSP/GAME/FLASHER/ folder. That is everything we have to do.

PSP 2000 CFW update

We can disconnect our PSP from our PC and continue to finally flash the Infinity Hybrid Firmware.

Be sure that your battery has enough juice to keep your PSP powered, otherwise you may end up with a brick.

If you want to be sure that nothing happens, plug in the PSPs charger and don’t unplug it until the installation has finished.

Simply start the Infinity Flasher and be sure to read the Disclaimer. If you agree with it, proceed to flash the firmware.

Flashing the firmware will take around 2 to 3 minutes, and you will have to restart your PSP afterwards.

Your PSP should now be running the Infinity Hybrid Firmware.

Adding a permanent Custom Firmware to Infinity:

PSP

The Infinity Firmware Flasher has installed the 6.31/6.61 Hybrid OFW to your device.

What was that, OFW? That is correct. Infinity is not a custom firmware by itself, and will behave exactly like the normal 6.61 OFW.

This means that you will have to install the LME CFW or PRO CFW and then use the CFWs respective launcher, to actually start the just installed LCFW.

You can simply do this by using the LME CFWs Installer & CFW Launcher, or PRO CFWs Installer & Fast Recovery.

After doing this, you will have a temporary LME or PRO CFW on your device. Feel free to check the System Information, to verify that you are indeed running an LCFW.

The final step would be to make the just installed LCFW permanent, right?

infinity_pic3

To do this you will have to start the Bootloader Configurator. It will greet you with a ‘Welcome to Infinity’ message and its respective animation.

You are able to press Left or Right to switch to the Bootloader configuration menu and the Infinity Update Utility, respectively. Pressing Select will do a secret third thing 😉

Use the Bootloader configuration menu and either select PRO CFW or (L)ME CFW to make said CFW a permanent one. This process is super fast and won’t take a single second to finish.

Afterwards just exit the Homebrew via the Home/PS-Button. If you now fully reboot your PSP it should automatically boot into the Custom Firmware of your choice (as long as said CFW had been installed prior to making it permanent).

The CFW will be permanent, even removing the battery or it being fully emptied won’t wipe the CFW from your device. It is now a permanent Custom Firmware, that gets started when you turn on your PSP.

You can freely change the permanent CFW from LME to PRO or from PRO to LME, as long as you have installed the new target CFW prior to doing so.

How to remove/uninstall Infinity:

Chronoswitch

Chronoswitch

In case you want to remove the Infinity Hybrid firmware, for whatever reason, be sure that you use the official way to do so.

Do not use any outdated downgraders, Nand restore tools or any kind of (possible future) Firmware Updaters. Those might end up bricking your device!

The official way to uninstall Infinity would be by using the Chronoswitch v7 Downgrader.

Just drop the Chronoswitch Downgrader into the /PSP/GAME/ folder and drop the official firmware 6.61 updater into the /PSP/GAME/ folder as well.

Next start the Chronoswitch v7 Downgrader and confirm that you want to downgrade. Assuming your Battery has enough juice, the 6.61 Firmware Updater will run through and you will end up on the normal 6.61 firmware that Sony created.

Additional Information:

cxmb

Infinity is not its own Custom Firmware, it only installs a 6.31/6.61 Hybrid Firmware for you.

The 6.61 Hybrid Firmware behaves exactly like the normal 6.61 OFW, except that the Infinity Hybrid Firmware lets you unbrick your PSP in certain cases, as long as it is not a 100% full brick (flash corruption). This does work on any PSP that runs Infinity, including the new PSPs!

You are able to update the Infinity Core and the Infinity Version of your PSP via the Bootloader Configurator Homebrew. You can either drag & drop the Infinity updaters onto your Memory Stick, or simply download them via the PSP’s Wifi itself.

Infinity is not based on cIPL, and thus works on pretty much all PSP devices. The only untested device is the 7th generation PSP 3000, the 07g 3000.

infinity_pic2

Infinity should support the incredibly rare PSP 3000 07g as well, but this could not be tested, due to the devices rarity.

Infinity does not support the PSP E1000 (PSP Street), because the PSP E1000 only supports firmwares as of 6.50 and higher. Davee is trying to make Infinity compatible with the E1000, but this will happen some day in the future, not as of this weekend.

Davee was able to force the PSP 3000 09g to run the (previously) unsupported firmware 6.20 (the 3000 09g usually only supports 6.30+), so I am certain he will be able to force the E1000 to run a 6.31/6.61 Hybrid Firmware as well. If there is a way, he will figure it out.

Credits:

Who else than Davee should we thank for this incredible project?! It took a lot of months to finish this Project and despite various failed tests, Davee only bricked 34 PSPs in total!

Otherwise, listed in Davee’s own Credits, we would like to say thank you to Nzaki, without who it wouldn’t have been possible to finish the Infinity Project.

Davee also thanks Darthsternie, The Z, Marco Antony, Balázs Triszka and all other testers that took part in the Infinity Project.

This is unfortunally Davee’s last project for the Playstation Portable, excluding the Infinity updates/bugfixes. He wants to shift his focus to other devices.

We hope that you will enjoy Davee’s Infinity Project on your PSP as much as you have enjoyed the previous releases as well!

The Playstation Portable devices have their very own Playstation Store, that they can access via their XMB (PSP menu).

The PSP Playstation Stores for the PAL-Region (Europe, Africa & Australia) have already been closed down, but the ones for the Americas & Japan were still available.

This is going to change as of April 2016.

psn-broken

This change will mean that it won’t be possible to use the PSN store via the PSP device itself anymore, and one is required to use the PSN store via a Computer.

You will still be able to transfer content onto your PSP, but this will require the PC Software MediaGo. Only wireless purchases & downloads via the PSP will cease to work.

For purchases one has to use another Sony device, such as the PS3 or PS Vita, or simply the PSN-Store website via a PC or mobile device.

Davee announces Infinity Update – Will fix PSPgo Pause feature & various XMB Theme bugs

$

Davee has just announced that an important Infinity bugfix update will be released in about a day.

The Infinity update will fix the broken PSPgo pause game feature, and should also fix various XMB Theme related bugs.

infinity_pic2

Another thing that Davee is trying to fix is the wireless Network Update feature, that was supposed to be included in the last build.

Due to an unexpected PSPgo brick it had to be disabled for the release build, but Davee is certain that he has fixed the problem.

The network Update function might be included as of tomorrows Infinity update, but it could also be postponed until further notice.

How to Update your Infinity Firmware?

At the moment you will have to fully reinstall the Infinity Firmware, and then add the additional custom firmware afterwards, to update your Infinity PSPs.

Simply grab the new Infinity files, add the necessary firmware files and act like this would be your first time installing Infinity. In the end reinstall your CFW, make it permanent and you’re done.

infinity_pic3

Assuming Davee is going to incorporate the network update feature as of tomorrows release, you will be able to use the Bootloader Config Homebrew (plus the 631.PBP file) for future Infinity Updates.

PSP: First hacks for the new Firmware 6.61 – PRO CFW & Downgrader updated!

$

0

After confirming that the Firmware 6.61 has barely changed (compared to firmware 6.60), developer Qwikrazor has updated the PRO CFW (partly) and the 6.60 Downgrader (once again, partly) to support the firmware 6.61.

The ME & LME CFWs are currently being updated as well.

If you ask why I wrote partly behind the PRO CFW and Downgrader, then you’re asking the right questions.

PSP 2000 CFW update

At first the PRO CFW: I said partly because Qwikrazor did not update the cIPL Installer for the PRO CFW (only supports PSP 1000s & non-88v3 2000s), which means there is not “full CFW” for firmware 6.61 as of now.

PRO CFW should properly work as a temporary CFW on any PSP (be it a 1000, 2000, any of the different 3000s, an E1000 or the Go), though.

Now about the downgrader. The downgrader is capable of downgrading PSPs from firmware 6.61 to a lower firmware, but it is currently not capable of downgrading from 6.61 to 6.60.

You will have to downgrade to 6.39 and then update to 6.60, if you really want to return to firmware 6.60.

Since the PSP E1000 can only install the firmwares (6.50 as pre-installed, no installer available) 6.60 and 6.61, and the downgrader can not downgrade to 6.60, it (the PSP E1000) is currently not supported by the 6.61 downgrader.

Thats pretty much it. We expect that the PRO CFW cIPL Flasher will be fixed in the future, and a newer version of the downgrader be available soon~ish.

If you prefer the ME or LME CFW, then be patient, since it is already being updated to firmware 6.61. No words about the 6.60 HEN, though.

The 6.61 PRO-C CFW and 6.61 downgrader can be downloaded via our forums.

PSP: 6.61 Downgrader updated – Now supports PSP E1000 & firmware 6.60!

$

The first downgrader was only working on most PSPs (not on E1000) and did not support a direct downgrade to firmware 6.60.

This new version of the downgrader now supports all PSPs (including the E1000) and also supports a direct downgrade from firmware 6.61 to 6.60.

Qwikrazor has pushed a proper update of Davee’s Chronoswitch downgrader, which is now capable of doing the very same as the previous version, but with added firmware 6.61. support.

The new Chronoswitch downgrader v6 supports firmwares 6.3x up to firmware 6.61, and can downgrade your PSP from up to firmware 6.61 down to firmware 5.00 (lower firmwares are currently untested), as long as your PSP supports said firmware in the first place.

Once again great work by qwikrazor! Next stops: The updated ME & LME CFWs for 6.61 and the permanent patch for firmwares 6.30+.

PSP: ME CFW, LME CFW & LightSpeed have been updated for Firmware 6.61!

$

Just a few days after the downgrader was updated to fully support firmware 6.61, Developer Rahim-US has updated the ME CFW & LME CFW to firmware 6.61.

I also have updated some of my projects. My LightSpeed Mod has been updated to firmware 6.61 as well.

Developer Rahim-US, the person in charge of updating Neur0n’s ME & LME CFW, has published an updated version of the ME and LME CFW, which now also support the firmware 6.61.

The ME and LME CFWs are the most versatile CFWs there are, and I personally would recommend these CFWs to anyone who is interested in using a CFW on the PSP.

Since this has been a simple port from 6.60 to 6.61, no new features have been added, so the 6.61 ME & LME CFW have the same features as the 6.60 ME & LME CFW.

The 6.61 ME-2.3 CFW also supports cIPL, which means that an old PSP 1000 or PSP 2000 (non-88v3) using the 6.61 ME CFW is capable of rebooting (or losing power) without having to use any kind of launcher to return into CFW mode.

It is currently the only 6.61 CFW that offers cIPL support.

The LME CFW can not do such kind of magic (except on firmware 6.20, thanks to the permanent patch), since it is made for the newer PSPs (2000 88v3, 3000s, Go, E1000), which do not support cIPL.

These PSPs have to use a launcher to return into CFW mode after rebooting the device (or losing power), but there is a solution to return into CFW mode with ease and style.

LightSpeed 661

My LightSpeed XMB Mod is the solution. It replaces either the digital comics or SensMe channels XMB Icon and reuses it as an CFW launcher.

It is easy to use and also easy to uninstall, if you dont like it. So why don’t you give it a try?

This pretty much brings the firmware 6.61 to the same level as the firmware 6.60. All important things that have been available for 6.60 either just work on 6.61 or have been ported to 6.61.

Now lets wait another 3.5 years for PSP firmware 6.62, haha.

If you have downloaded a firmware for the PSP in the last few years, it might have been via Zload.net.

Zload.net is a website that hosts various files, reaching from official firmwares to custom firmwares, VHBLs, exploit files, homebrews, plugins and even more.

Before people shout at me about writing a blog post about my own website, you should know that, prior to writing this article, I have asked Wololo for permission, and he gave his okay.

As I have implied in the sentence above, Zload.net is my very own website, and it is pretty much an archive for various files (mostly firmwares).

Pretty much all important (e)PSP hacking files in the last few years have been hosted on Zload.net, and it established itself as a valuable source for a lot of uncommon files for the PSP & PS Vita.

psvita update

Ranging from offering a lot of old and rare files, to offering all official Sony firmware for the PSP, PSP Go and PS Vita (the latter even as easy on-the-fly updates), it is a great source for acquiring files that were thought to be ‘lost in the vastness of space & time the internet’.

The website had been unavailable for good 5 weeks, due to domain problems which made http://www.zload.net/ unresponsive. After solving the problems via contacting the (barely helpful) support, and playing the waiting game, the website has returned and is now, once again, fully functional.

Additionally a second domain, http://www.zload.de/, has been registered, and can be used in case the .net-domain is unavailable.

In the end I would like to say that I do not run any kind of Advertisement on my website, and I am maintaining it by myself (only myself) since mid 2011.

So if you wish to support me, feel free to give me a buck or two. The server & domains aren’t paying themselves, so a bit of help would be greatly appreciated.

3 Generations, 3 Handhelds, 3 Emulators

It is no secret that i love handhelds. They are portable, cool and make me feel like a child again. I also love emulating different systems on my handhelds, be it a console, another handheld or even an arcade machine. I want to share my favourite emulators on my favourite handhelds with you. Hope you share the fun.

1) BlargSNES on 3DS

BlargSNES is a SNES emulator for 3DS. It is without a doubt the best homebrew on the 3DS scene. Right now it doesn’t support games with special chips and has graphical glitches on many games. But the games it runs, it runs them great. You can have an idea about compatibility here. So far, SNES emulation on a handheld is really hard. I am not counting tablets, smartphones etc. Even though SNES emulation on PSP has a high compatibility, it still suffers from slowdowns which is very distracting for some games. DSTWO has a SNES emulator for Nintendo DS, but it is worse than the PSP emulators. BlargSNES gives us hope that near perfect SNES emulation might be possible with this generation handhelds. It is now at version 1.3 and with each revision, it gets better and better. Without further adue, here is the video.

2) MVSPSP on PSP

MVSPSP is a MVS/AES emulator for PSP. I used to love Neo-Geo back at the arcades. King of Fighters, Metal Slug, the incredibly underrated Street Hoop and numerous gems that i can go on and on. I wasn’t aware of a console named AES back then. Well, even if i did, i wouldn’t buy it with that price tag anyways. MVSPSP gives you back this Neo-Geo experience everywhere you go. Emulation quality is great. Even though i should accept there are some slowdowns here and there that isn’t on original hardware or psn neo-geo station releases, it is still very close to the arcade experience you get back then. I love to change the hardware from MVS to AES to stop myself from mindlessly increasing credits. It also helps me to imagine how it would be to have an AES back then. You can also change CPU speed and audio emulation quality to save battery/give your game a boost. You can get it from the downloads section here at Wololo. Here is a glimpse of the emulator running on a PSP Go.

3) Goomba Color on Gameboy Advance

Goomba Color is a Gameboy/Gameboy Color emulator for Gameboy Advance. I can already hear you saying GBA already supports GB/GBC games. Yup, it does. But GB/GBC compatibility has been abandoned for GBA Micro. Also Goomba Color has many options which aren’t available with hardware emulation. Just to name a few, it can enable Super Gameboy borders for supporting games, it has savestates, there are a lot of pallette options you can choose from (you can even change them on-the-fly which is not possible with hardware emulator). Also it is super convenient to have your own GB/GBC compilations. Game compatibility is really high and most games work fine at full speed. It is only one or two times i encountered a fps drop, but it is nothing major. From a technical standpoint, it is astonishing to emulate a system with a 8 mhz CPU on a system with a 16 mhz CPU with such accuracy. Even though i have other GBA models which natively supports GB/GBC games, i always find myself using Goomba Color on my favourite GBA model, GBA Micro. The author still works on this emulator and it got an update on December 12, 2014. If you want to see it in action on my black GBA Micro, here you go.

PSP Firmware 6.61 – CFW users finally excluded from using PSN services?!

$
0
0

We all were surprised and a bit shocked after Sony’s release of the Playstation Portable firmware 6.61 a few months ago.

But is this new firmware responsible for CFWs being unable to connect to the PSN services?! Well…

Yes and no.

661 lme

It is true that Custom Firmwares for the older base firmwares 6.20, 6.3x and 6.60 are currently not able to connect to the PSN services (Error code: ‘80435061’), but Sony did not completely exclude CFW users from using the PSN services.

The convenience of using the PSN services, regardless of installed base firmware, seems to be gone (for now), but the released Custom Firmwares for the base firmware 6.61 are still kicking it!

PSN access is still possible via 6.61 OFW (Sony’s official firmware), 6.61 ME-2.3, 6.61 LME-2.3 and 6.61 PRO-C2 (CFW’s most recent build by qwikrazor87).

playstation.store_.logo_-600x300

Since a lot of Themes and Plugins are not and (most likely) won’t be updated for firmware 6.61, staying on a lower base firmware seems to be a much more convenient choice.

Older CFWs showed us how to do it, and I think it should be possible to update the 6.20, 6.3x and 6.60 builds of the ME, LME and PRO CFW to properly mask themselves as firmware 6.61, which, in the end, will grant them, once again, full access to the PSN services.

vitatv_2_ds3_controllers

While I am currently having some fun with a PSPgo and a DualShock3 controller (yes, you can pair those 2 devices), I am going to test the various builds of LME CFW and PRO CFW (for the various OFWs), and will report which ones are broken and require fixing.

Being able to use the convenience of the 6.20 permanent patch and using the PSN services is something that should not be a choice on the PSP, at least not in 2015.

Stay tuned for an update on using the PSN services on lower (base) Custom Firmwares!

Release: CapusbPSP by 172310

Japanese developer 173210 just released CapusbPSP. As the name reveals (kind of), this is a tool to capture usb traffic from the PSP.

173210 started working several years ago on the PSP’s usb drivers analysis, which could be leveraged on the Vita as well: the PSP’s usb communication to a PS2/PS3 also works from within the PSP emulator on the PS Vita.

Capusbpsp’s source code has been released to contribute to this quest. 173210 hasn’t given on on his project to understand and reverse engineer USBPSPCommunicationDriver (a project started back in 2013), and is asking for help completing the task.

sony_psp_usb

If you can help, feel free to lend a hand to 173210 in our forums.

Once compiled, capusbpsp can be run as a plugin on any CFW-enabled PSP

PS Vita: No more PSN access for eCFW users on firmwares ≤3.35?

$
0
0

A few days ago I’ve written an article about PSP CFW users being unable to connect to the Playstation Store, if their PSP is not running the firmware 6.61.

It seems that this applies to the PS Vita’s PSPemulator as well, kind of…

If you are using a PS Vita that is running a firmware that is older than the most recent firmware 3.36, then you might have noticed that you are unable to connect to the PSN services.

psn-down

Not only do the native PS Vita PSN connections refuse to work (due to not running PS Vita firmware 3.36), but also do the previously working PSPemulator PSN connections (via TN-V or ARK-2 eCFW) refuse to work as of now.

This has pretty much to do with the newly released PSP firmware 6.61, which seems to be mandatory for accessing the PSN services on the PSP (even with CFW). Since the PS Vita runs the PSPemulator firmware 6.60 up to PS Vita firmware 3.35, this applies to the PS Vita’s PSPemulator as well (once again, including eCFWs as ARK-2 or TN-V).

PSVITA-uselessFW2

In the end this pretty much means that your PSP (Go) has to run a 6.61 (custom) firmware to access and use the PSN services, and that your PS Vita (TV) has to run a 3.36 (emulator custom) firmware to access and use the PSN services (from within but also outside of the PSPemulator).

The famous TN-V10 eCFW for the PS Vita firmwares ≤3.20 are based on the PSPemulator firmware 6.60, which every PS Vita firmware up to 3.35 runs. As of PS Vita firmware 3.36, the PS Vita is running the PSPemulator firmware 6.61, a firmware which has no (official & publicly available) TN-V build.

PSN-store-error

This pretty much means that to properly access and use the PSN services on a PS Vita, you have to update your device to version 3.36 (yes, not even 3.35 would be enough, since that one still runs the PSPemulator firmware version 6.60), which in the end has native PSN access anyways, due to being the most recent firmware.

It is currently not known if TN-V and ARK-2 can be fixed to re-enable PSN access on lower PS Vita firmwares, or if they have to be ported to firmware 3.36 to offer proper PSN access from within the PS Vita’s PSPemulator.

For this weekend’s PSN flash sale, all prices are under $1. It is on now and it will end in Monday, March 23 at 9am PT. You can check the list below, i categorized it to make it easier for you and tried to correct some mistakes on the US PSN Blog Page, like listing Theme Park (it should be Sim Theme Park), Magic Carpet, Soviet Strike, Championship Bass, Extreme Pinball, Populous The Beginning and Hi-Octane as PS3 only where they are Ps one classic and you can buy them for PS3/PSP/PS Vita. Wild Arms 2 isn’t even in the list on the PS Blog, where it is in fact included in this flash sale. If the list is too long, you can just skip it and go to the store: Flash Sale PSN Store Page

If you don’t have your exploit game for TN-X, now can be a good time to grab Tekken 2 for $0.96. Fixed: Improved savedata files for the Firmware 3.36 & 3.50 Pool Exploits! – Works on PS Vita and Playstation TV!

Wololo has released the savedata files for the Pool exploits some hours ago, but those files were barely working. (Note from wololo: sorry guys!)

Qwikrazor has improved the savedata files, and a smart detective has found a solution to the (supposedly working, but yet) freezing exploit execution.

Vita Flaw Key Cool Picture

A lot of users have reported freezes on exploit execution, but Qwikrazor was confident that the files should be working.

The funny thing is, both parties were actually right.

Qwikrazor’s files are indeed working, but only if you start World of Pool as a Custom Bubble on firmware 3.36 (which pretty much defeats the meaning of the exploit), or if you are using the following trick on a completely unhacked PS Vita.

custom bubble fixed 3.50

Like I said a few sentences ago, a smart detective (Twitter user trakons to be exact) found a solution to get the current files (even World of Pool!) to work on firmware 3.50.

You simply have to exit the game when it is searching for the hosted Multiplayer game, enter the airplane mode, leave the airplane mode and then continue with the exploit.

This solution has been confirmed to make the exploit work 100%* of the times! (*except when the kernel Exploit fails, and you are forced to reboot the device).

While this sounds like some weird nonsense, it actually works and fixes the freezing issue.

Feel free to check the embedded video that confirms that the exploit savedata files are indeed working on firmwares 3.36 and 3.50.

Oh, and did I mention that this also works on the Playstation TV (VitaTV)? You just have to use a slightly different trick.

Go ahead and download the files for your desired firmware. The files for World of Pool & Pool Hall Pro are included, just choose the ones you need.

Download: ARK-2 for the World Of Pool / Pool Hall Pro exploit

Last Ranker translation patch by flamethrower and EnglishSubs4All

While the Vita has been getting shafted more than normal when it comes to Japanese-made games crossing over the oceans to the hands of western users on both Europe (somehow Australia counts as Europe, ask Sony about it) and the Americas, this is not a new phenomenon. If we roll back the clock all the way to the dying days of the PSP, we will notice a handful of games that were really high-profile that never made it to the West, the most egregious example of this being the non-release of Final Fantasy Type-0 (which later got a fan translation). However there are a few other games that got the same treatment: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, Grand Knights History and Valkyria Chronicles 3 being the most popular among that group.

However there was another game that never made it West that I thought looked pretty cool when it was announced, and was sure would come to the West, by Capcom which had done a pretty good job at supporting the PSP with high-quality games. That game was The Last Ranker, an imageepoch developed RPG where you play as a man named Zig who enters an combat organization where warriors are ranked on how they perform in battle and decides to fight his way to the very top. This game was announced at the Tokyo Game Show back in 2009. Here is the trailer from 2010:

After the announcement I was relatively hyped to try out a new high-profile game on my PSP, especially a RPG, which is a genre I love and didn’t really feel like I got enough of it on that console. Until now, the only way to enjoy the game was to watch a series of videos by YouTube user EnglishSubs4All, which wasn’t the most optimal way to enjoy the game. That has all changed, since a member of the website romhacking.net, flamethrower, has decided to port the YouTube translation into the game, based on the work by EnglishSubs4All in the .*** (subtitle files) files they made available to anyone who might be interested in porting over their translation. This is only an initial, partial release but a lot of work is already done, according to the hacker himself about 50% of the game is now translated. Considering the wording flamethrower uses in the readme included with the patch, it is unlikely he will finish this, but he gives everyone instructions on how to build on his work and finish it if they so choose.

What is the status of the translation?

Done:

  • Interface
  • Item lists and descriptions
  • Most of the main story (scripts)

Not done:

  • Images
  • Remainder of the scripts. These remain legible in Japanese.

Instructions to patch the Last Ranker

Two ways to run this:
1) Rename your source ISO to LR.iso. Then, double-click patch.bat.
2) Drag and drop your source ISO onto patch.bat

LastRanker_2

Download the Last Ranker translation patch

To start enjoying another game you were never meant to click here to jump to the release page over at RomHacking and download the patch. If you want to keep building on flamethrower and EnglishSubs4All‘s work and finish the patch, he has left intricate instruction on the whole process inside another files on the release ZIP.

Hope you guys enjoy this!

Adrenaline finally released, PSP goodness for all HENkaku users!

$

The day that many of you were so eagerly waiting for has finally come. TheFloW has decided to release an early version of his very hyped native PSPemu hack, Adrenaline. However, this brings both good and bad news: the good news being that you finally get to enjoy all the PSP games you want on HENkaku with no restrictions. The bad news is that TheFloW also announced that he is going on a small hiatus because of exams and will only be back by February, which prompted this early, slightly incomplete release of Adrenaline.

You heard it right, as of this current iteration Adrenaline is not fully featured. Some things are not currently working but TheFloW still plans to add them when time becomes available. The list of those things include:

These features are not included yet:
– 64MB RAM
– PS1 games support
– Ability to use ur0 as Memory Stick File System
– Savestates

That means that everything else is working and aside from PS1 games, which you have an alternative for, all the features you’d expect from a PSPemu are there (with a few extras!) and you get the full deal. You just won’t be able to enjoy the extra little goodies TheFloW said he’d add… for now. He says that should any critical bugs be found he will still get around fixing them, but you shouldn’t expect a new release until he is done with the exams. Now let’s get to the meat of the release shall we?

adrenaline

What is Adrenaline?

Adrenaline is a software that modifies the official PSP Emulator using taiHEN CFW framework to make it run a PSP 6.61 custom firmware. Thanks to the power of taiHEN, Adrenaline can inject custom code into the IPL which allows unsigned code to run at boot time.

Features for Adrenaline

What does Adrenaline currently support?

  • XMB
  • ISO/CSO
  • Homebrews
  • Plugins
  • VshMenu, Recovery menu

Differences between Adrenaline and TN-V?

  • Ability to take screenshots using PS + START
  • Ability to use the PS button as HOME button
  • Ability to use a custom graphics filter
  • No file system limitation by using a custom msfs.

How to install

  • Install any PSP game/demo onto your PS Vita (compatiblity for PS1 games as bubble will be added in the future).
  • Shutdown your PS Vita and visit http://beta.henkaku.xyz/.
  • Launch molecularShell, press START and set ‘Enable unsafe homebrews’ to ‘On’.
  • Open FTP by pressing SELECT and copy the ‘adrenaline’ folder from the archive and paste it at ‘ux0:pspemu/’.
  • Download the 6.61 EBOOT.PBP (for 1000/2000/3000) from the Sony server (google it) and paste it at ‘ux0:pspemu/adrenaline/661.PBP’.
  • Copy ‘ux0:tai/config.txt’ to your PC and overwrite it with these lines:

# You must reboot for changes to take place.
*KERNEL
ux0:pspemu/adrenaline/adrenaline.skprx
# henkaku.skprx is hard-coded to load and is not listed here
*main
# main is a special titleid for SceShell
ux0:app/MLCL00001/henkaku.suprx
*NPXS10015
# this is for modifying the version string
ux0:app/MLCL00001/henkaku.suprx
*TITLEID
vs0:sys/external/libpgf.suprx
ux0:pspemu/adrenaline/adrenaline.suprx
Note that you replace TITLEID by the titleid of your PSP game (the name of the folder where EBOOT.PBP is).

  • Reboot your device and revisit the page I have mentioned above.
  • Launch the game for which you have added the plugin’s line to config.txt.
  • Follow the instructions on screen.
  • Enjoy

How to use the Adrenaline Menu
Hold the PS button until the ‘Quick menu’ appears and choose ‘Settings’. This button will not open the official PSP settings menu as usually, but it will open the Adrenaline Menu instead (the official Settings menu will be accessible within Adrenaline Menu). As I have mentioned, the PS button will be used as HOME button, thus pressing it will not let you go back to the livearea. The only way you can exit the PSP Emulator is by clicking the ‘Exit PspEmu Application’ option.

Controls:
You can switch tabs using L/R triggers, UP/DOWN to move, X/LEFT/RIGHT to change options and START/O to close the menu.

About custom graphics filtering
Right now, you have got four different options you can choose:
– Official: If this is selected, the official filtering will be used (the one choosed in the official settings).
– Bilinear GPU: The filter being applied by GPU does look a bit smoother than the official bilinear filtering.
– Sharp bilinear: This filter is an improved bilinear filter where scanlines are added to give it a sharper look.
– LCD3x: This filter has got vertical and horizontal scanlines and will make the screen a bit darker.

About right analog stick in games
The right analog patch for GTA LCS/GTA VCS will be downloaded from here: https://github.com/TheOfficialFloW/GTA_Remastered. Don’t think that any other games will now have right analog stick patch too 😉

Download Adrenaline:

Ok, that was a handful wasn’t it? It is a pretty complete release however so it was to be expected. Now be careful in following those instructions because TheFloW created some pretty good and thorough guidelines that are pretty much failproof as long as you follow them. To get your hands on the hottest release on the scene right now simply click here. Extract everything and start the set-up process with the instructions given.

Update: According to TheFloW his original release had a problem with the detection of 6.61 update file. We updated the download link accordingly, anyone having problems should stop having them. Have a good one

Update 2: I re-did the instructions part of TheFloW’s original instructions because it was giving problems to many people. Just overwrite the lines with the ones I put and it should work – don’t forget to change the TITLEID part. As a last resort you can download this by reddit user parkerlreed (and thanks to developer Red for linking me to it).

Update 3: If you are using a Mini as a base game (like me) games probably weren’t working. TheFloW has released another patch to fix issues for Mini users, click here to get it.

In the words of the developer himself: Enjoy! I know all of you have been eagerly awaiting this so I’m glad you finally get to use it!

Have a nice weekend filled with PSP games!

I think that at this point, it’s safe to say that Adrenaline is one of the most popular releases since the releases of HENkaku/taiHENkaku. However, it is not the easiest to install or even to get to actually run because of how fiddly it is – even with years of messing around with hacking, it took me a few tries before getting it to work.

Developer Freakler over at the hackinformer forums however seems to have come up with an easy fix to whole those problems however, by creating an application that does all of the heavy work for you! You can either install or uninstall Adrenaline at will and it already comes with the latest, mini-working version of Adrenaline included.

This application also has the added feature of installing/removing custom LiveArea themes should you want to (we’re talking PS Vita custom themes, not PSP ones). Either way, if you have or had trouble with Adrenaline, this tool is probably what you need. Plus, you can easily mod the vpk file to include future versions of Adrenaline when they come out!

You’ll probably want to give Freakler’s very own “Adrenaline inspired” theme:

adrenaline_theme

What is Adrenaline EasyInstaller?

Adrenaline EasyInstaller is a PS Vita homebrew tool developed by Freakler which aims to ease the installation of the Adrenaline PSPemu hack developed by TheFloW. It can install and uninstall Adrenaline and also had the added feature of allowing you to manage your custom PS Vita themes if you want to use this tool for that purpose. You can also easily modify the vpk file of this application to install future versions of Adrenaline.

Installation Notes

You will still need to place a 661.PBP to “ux0:pspemu/adrenaline/” manually

This release installs “adrenaline_fix2.zip” but you can manually replace the files inside this vpk if there happens to be an update. If you find any bugs please let me know..

Freakler credits the following people for the work on Adrenaline Easy Installer.

Evangelion Girlfriend of Steel 2nd English patch released!

$

0

You may remember that some time ago, I reported on the English patch for the PSP game The Last Ranker that despite some amount of hype never came to the West. I also pointed out in the same article that the Last Ranker was in the company of many other games that never came to Western shores. Evangelion games while not mentioned are among that lot.

There were various releases of Evangelion games on the PSP that I knew about. Neon Genesis Evangelion 2 -Another Cases-, Secret of Evangelion and Evangelion: Jo being the ones I was aware of at the time. What I wasn’t aware of was that they even ported the Sega Saturn/PC visual novels to the PSP… or at least one of them. Neon Genesis Evangelion: Girlfriend of Steel 2nd (originally released in 1998) was the sequel to the Girlfriend of Steel visual novel released back in 1996. Just like its predecessor, Girlfriend of Steel 2nd is not considered “canon” and takes place in an alternate timeline that differs from the anime’s story.

Thanks to a team of three developers: mugi, Binaryfail and jjjewel, the game has now been 100% translated into English and can be enjoyed by all of us who have access to some sort of PSP CFW. The developers add that even though this is a 1.0 release, there may be typos or mistakes in routes they did not have the time to test, so they encourage anyone who finds any errors to report them here.

What is Neon Genesis Evangelion: Girlfriend of Steel 2nd?

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Girlfriend of Steel 2nd is a visual-novel style game that explores an alternate universe within the Evangelion franchise. The story takes place after the end of the TV series, in a universe where the story of the following movies never actually took place. The game was originally released on the Sega Saturn and PC but eventually found its way to the PS2 and the PSP. Unfortunately the game was never translated for Western audiences. Now thanks to the team over at BLACKlabel translations the game is playable for the West, exclusively on the PSP (and PS Vita).

Evangelion2

Changelog for v1.0

For those interested of what was done, the game underwent following changes:

– All in-game text translated from japanese to english
– Script auto-linebreak disabled (handled manually from within scripts)
–  All relevant graphics translated from japanese to english. (texts written into the background graphics such as roadsigns are untouched.)
– sceImposeSetLanguageMode(), sceUtilityMsgDialogInitStart() and sceUtilitySavedataInitStart() patched to english language and japanese button mapping (O = ok)
– Blacklabel logotype added to initial loading.
– in-game UI streamlined to be less intrusive and eating less screenspace compared to the original.
– snd0.at3 added to the XMB screen.

If you have an interest of porting this translation to another language, the tools for editing the game are available on our BBS.

Instructions for this English patch

  • Get your copy of girlfriend of steel 2nd portable iso (CRC32: D4AA9284)
  • Name the iso to ULJM-05477.iso
  • Put ULJM-05477.iso into the same folder with patchme.bat, xdelta.exe and blt-gfos_II_eng.xdelta
  • Run patchme.bat
  • Run check_result.sfv to verify that the patching was succesful. (patched iso CRC32 should be 4C147E8B)
  • Put blt-gfos_II_eng.iso on psp or load in emulator and play game.

Download the Girlfriend of Steel 2nd English patch

To download and start playing Girldfriend of Steel 2nd in English just head on over to the BLACKlabel translations website. Out of respect for their hard work (they deserve all the traffic in the world), I will not link directly to the files needed. So just go to the website and get everything from there. There are also instructions inside the rar file they provide and all the tools are included with it.

Happy gaming everyone!

A trip down homebrew lane: PSPKVM

In the days of the PSP, eager developers ported everything to it but some homebrew stands out in particular. PSPKVM, in my opinion, is one of the most interesting pieces of PSP homebrew to date, not only because you can run J2ME code and games on it but because you can even run useful browsers on the PSP.

What’s PSPKVM?

PSPKVM is a homebrew that allows the user to run J2ME code on their PSP or if you prefer, the .jar applications that a good number of us used to (still?) run on their older feature phones. These applications were mostly games, simple utitilies or browsers. PSPKVM allowed almost all J2ME applications to run and even chunkier J2ME apps such as Opera work on it. Development stopped quite a few years ago but that doesn’t really matter as PSPKVM is quite stable and useful.

PSPKVM features:

  • Ability to install jar/jad files from Memory stick/via Wifi
  • Internet Connection for J2ME apps
  • Various keyboard options even internal OSK
  • Ability to use various profiles in order to get the best experience on your device
  • Easy to use application launcher
  • Compatible with a whole variety of J2ME applications

Why PSPKVM stands out

PSPKVM is still is a very interesting piece of software to this day is probably because one can run web browsers on it. The PSP’s web browser leaves a lot to be desired but thanks to PSPKVM, one can easily browse the internet with Opera Mini 8 or UC Browser. You can even log into popular sites such as Facebook/Twitter if you really need to check social media which makes the PSP useful in a situation in which you don’t have anything else that can access the internet. Opera Mini does have a few limitations sadly and one of those is not being able to download files to memory stick but that shouldn’t be a very major issue.

You can also play some niche games like Doom RPG and Wolfenstein RPG which could be fun if you take into consideration the limitations of J2ME phones back then.

Conclusion

Nowadays, PSPKVM is more of a novelty but it could be fun to play around with J2ME applications that we once thought were the future. Of course, this homebrew should run fine on a PSVita in Adrenaline so you can mess around without even having to take out your PSP! Make sure you get v0.5.5 which is the latest version for the PSP which is confirmed to work even on FW 6.61. Oh, and you needn’t point out slow news days; everyone knows that developing new homebrew isn’t something done overnight so wait and enjoy the past while waiting to see what’s in store next.

A trip down homebrew lane: SuperTux for PSP

The Christmas season is with us so it’s the perfect time to mention a snow-filled game called SuperTux. SuperTux is probably one of the few homebrew that is close to being Christmas themed so it’s a great thing to look back to if you’re into older homebrew!

What’s SuperTux

SuperTux, like Super Mario Brothers, is a 2D platforming game in which you need to progress through levels to get to finish the game. You also have to kill numerous enemies by jumping on them or by throwing pallets at them if your character is at a level high enough. Various enemies exist and some are pretty annoying to kill. SuperTux is an open-source game that was originally released in 2003 which was initially released for computers. Later on, it ended up getting ported to a variety of systems such as the Wii, GP2X, Android devices and the PSP. SuperTux is a completely free piece of software that’s licensed under the GNU GPL license so one can port it to any system they wish as it’s fully open source.

The PSP version

The PSP port was created back in 2006 by developer “Jomar”. It’s a port of version 0.1.3 which while isn’t the latest version, latest version is 0.5.1, it is enjoyable nonetheless. It has the core gameplay in there and it also looks pretty nice on the PSP’s screen, it also has an FPS counter which rarely falls below 30. Button controls are pretty simple as there’s one button to jump and another to shoot the palette at the enemies. The PSP version also allows the player to save the game. This piece of homebrew for the PSP is compatible with the PSVita, both in VHBL and Adrenaline, and should work on all PSP consoles that allow homebrew to run (it even works on 6.61).

Maybe one day, we’ll also get a fully fledged PSVita version that’s a port of the latest version since there’s an SDL port of the game.
