On the 30th of January, PS4 will be getting a HD remaster of Patapon 2, originally released for the PSP in 2008. The first Patapon game was remastered for the PS4 back in 2018, and now we are finally getting a 4K remaster of the second game in the series. The Patapon 2 remaster will cost $14.99, and will include over 30 missions. If you have a PS4 and have ever played/enjoyed Patapon, you will definitely want to pick this up. If you have a PS4 Pro, you will want it even more as the graphics are breathtaking.
What is Patapon?
If you don’t know, Patapon was a 2D Action/Platformer/Rythm Game that was originally released on the PSP back in 2008. On Sony’s blog, they describe the game as follows “Cut off from their Zigoton compatriots after a Kraken attacks their ship, the Patapon tribe find themselves ship-wrecked on a strange new land. As their deity, it’s your job to lead the Patapon army using a variety of rhythmic drum commands as they encounter brand new enemies, allies and a host of new bosses as they continue their search for their promised land, Earthend. Combine the various chains of drumbeats to address each unique level, leading the Patapons to victory over the enemy forces.” Additionally, the game will include many minigames, just like the Patapon 1 Remaster.
I really just can’t get over how good the game looks, with a 4K TV and a PS4 Pro, it will look amazing.
